Just challenging myself in a game that I have played ever since 2003. The past few years I noticed myself playing a lot more SP and on top of all without PlugY (Exceptions are play-throughs of Mods that fully change the game.). I played for the story, challenge, awesome OST and to slaughter those filthy spawns of Hell or just some cows. I personally never used any hacks but I also never played the game competitively. Using them supposedly has its risks but I am pretty sure Diablo 2 is not observed as it used to be back in the days.
It isn't fair to the people who play without them but they also freely chose not to use them. Using bots, hacks, dupes or paid services honestly is just a playstyle.
